The General Data Policy Regulation (GDPR) (EU) is the regulation of data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union.
On 25th of May 2018, and after a two-year transition period, it becomes enforceable and it will give you control over your personal data.
This is, any information relating to a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, for example by name, an identification number, location data, or to factors specific to the physical, physiological, economic, social etc…. of that person.
In other words, all information in the public domain which could identify you personally.
Why are we telling you this?
At Deaf Umbrella we are going to delete our mailing list.
Sounds drastic, doesn't it?
It is indeed! But we want to make sure that we have your permission to email you after the 25th of May 2018, once GDPR takes effect.
That’s it - simple really.
